Celtic Tattoo Art- Make a Statement

Celtic TattooAmong all the various styles of art used in tattooing, Celtic tattoo art is likely the most distinctive. There are many different types of Celtic and Celtic-inspired tattoo art that a person can choose from.

The intricate and detailed work for which the Celtic art is known for has made its mark in the other kinds of artwork, such as tribal and other styles of abstraction. Even though Celtic artwork is not particularly abstract, it is highly stylized. Whether you want to display your heritage or are expressing your taste in art, Celtic tattoo art would be a good choice to have.

Celtic Knot: The Celtic knot is a very well-known type of Celtic art. It consists of rising and falling lines and is very detailed in decoration; normally in the center portion of the larger lines. The effects of the scrollwork make it a great choice for those who wish to have tattoos, especially those that are meant to be viewed up close.

Stylized trees and animals: Many of the symbols in this type of artwork can be traced back to the ancient beliefs.  Stylized trees, specifically oaks, are the symbol of the natural world and are often portrayed in a very unique way. Animals too are a very popular choice and are detailed in the traditional Celtic design.

Choosing Celtic tattoo art is not an easy task and may take some consideration. Many of these designs will look best if tattooed on a fairly flat surface of the body where they can be seen all at once, instead of being wrapped around the arm. There are some tattoos that are done in color and then there are also others which are traditionally done in black ink only.

Celtic design is normally the choice for those who want to display their spiritual connection to the earth. Designs that have circles which are known to portray all four seasons are also a very popular option.
